We stayed for a week so my boys could snowboard and this cabin was great! Plenty of nice towels and blankets. The jacuzzi was great and never ran out of hot water. The fireplace made the evenings nice and cozy ( bring your own wood). The location was great just a very short drive to slopes which I suppose you could walk if you don’t mind walking back uphill, and yet it felt very secluded. Since I chose to cook for the week my only negative would be the oven that wasn’t working properly. The kitchen was fully stocked with dinnerware, glasses and coffee cups. I was glad I brought along pans and utensils, even though there were some. FYI:Only food item there is salt and pepper, sugar packets, other misc packets. Overall this cabin is very comfortable and cozy
PS: when the stairs ice up they are pretty slippery! Just be careful!

New Year’s Day weekend was a blast. Despite the rain on Friday/Saturday, we were able to get some great snowboarding in.

Pros:
- The House was very clean and updated
- The location was very close to all necessary stores in Banner Elk
- Although not on the slopes we shuttled to the employee parking lot mostly. Literally about 200 yds. Walkable but not a pleasurable walk. The drive to the lodge is only like 1/2 mile
- Great View
- Property management was very helpful
- Kitchen was great for a small kitchen

Cons:
- The driveway doesn’t do well when raining. It was rutted out in the middle and very muddy. It’s also only good for two cars comfortably. We squeezed three in for the weekend.
- The wifi that is given out on the email and paperwork was not correct. There is a book at the house that has the correct one as well as listed on the router. “Spectrum router to the left of the stereo under tv”
- The Jacuzzi Jets did not work. After our kids waited an hour tobfill up, the jets would not turn on. Maybe we were missing something?
- The Check in paperwork mentions a gas fireplace. It is not. It’s a real wood fireplace. Which was fine with us, just better to know on your way in.

Like I said in the title. Overall great stay. Just a few details could be addressed.

Our group of four adults and four children really enjoyed the house. The wood burning fireplace was great (bring wood) and it was nice to have a washer and dryer available. The location is perfect for the Sugar Mountain resort only a short walk through the resort employee parking lot to get to the lifts but it will be uphill on the way back! Beds were very comfortable. There is a spiral staircase leading to the loft upstairs and down to the laundry room below and they are steep so use caution. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice place to stay in the Sugar Mountain area.

Great family house.

Our family had a wonderful trip and stay. This place was perfect and the kids loved it! Very convenient to the lift and we actually walked to the lifts every day. We got a locker at the lifts which made it really easy. The house had plenty of room and the kids loved the big jet tub. We will definitely stay here again next year. Thanks!!

We had a wonderful time. It was a great fit for our 7 person family (we took 2 blow us mattress). The kitchen was small but efficient! We cooked all of our meals there and it worked out great!

It is a great house for a large family. Internet was fast, amenities were good. A little bit annoying "to do list" for guests about cleaning dishes and preparing bed linens, collecting trash etc, since the rental company collects $100 cleaning fee. I believe if all the guest follow these recommendations then $100 cleaning fee is excessive.

The sign with the number of the house is completely covered by shrubs. We had to get out of the car and inspect each house on the street trying to figure out which one is ours.

We never figured out how to turn on the AC, not extremely necessary since the nights are usually cool outside, but it was a little bit too hot in the house at night.

The hot tub was great!
